GuideHow to wear a topper: clips, styling & care
Toppers are refreshingly simple to live with. Here is the honest routine — wearing, styling, washing and how long a topper lasts.
Putting it on: four steps, under a minute
- 1 · Part your hair where the topper will sit.
- 2 · Position the topper over the thinning area, front clips first.
- 3 · Secure the pressure clips — they snap gently into your own hair.
- 4 · Blend your hair over the edges and style as usual.
The final blend — your hair over the topper edge.
Will the clips damage my hair?
Used correctly, no. The clips are designed to hold without tension, and we position them where your hair is strongest — rotating positions if you wear the topper daily. At the fitting we show you exactly how to open, place and close them so nothing pulls.
Styling
Real human hair behaves like your own: blow-dry, curl, iron in moderation, and use normal styling products sparingly. Your stylist cuts the topper into your look at the studio, so day-to-day styling is minimal.
Washing & care
- Wash gently every 6–10 wears with recommended products — we advise Volupropol™, developed within the HEADS family.
- Lukewarm water, no rubbing; pat dry and air-dry on a stand.
- Store on its stand overnight; keep it out of direct sun.
- Rinse after swimming; chlorine and salt are the enemies of any hair.
How long does a topper last?
With gentle care, a premium human-hair topper typically lasts a year and often well beyond — daily wear, styling habits and washing routine decide where in that range you land. Servicing at our Greenbelt studio (refresh, re-style, clip checks) extends its life further, and your measurements stay on file for a seamless renewal when the time comes.
The easiest way to know what suits you: a free colour-match consultation at our Greenbelt studio in Makati — try toppers on, see yourself in daylight, no obligation.
