Hair topper vs wig: which is right for you?

The first question at almost every consultation. The honest answer depends on one thing above all: how much of your own hair is still there.

The short answer

A topper covers the top — crown, parting, front — and clips into your existing hair, which stays visible and does the blending. A wig covers the whole head. Toppers are lighter, cooler and quicker; wigs give complete coverage and complete styling freedom.

The in-between cases

Many women sit between the two: diffuse thinning that a large topper still covers beautifully, or fragile patches where the base must sit carefully. This is exactly what a fitting is for — at our Greenbelt studio we look at your hair honestly and tell you which construction serves you better. HEADS makes both: toppers here at toppers.ph, and full wigs at wigs.ph — so our advice carries no bias toward either.

Can you switch later?

Yes, and many clients do: a topper during early thinning, a wig if loss progresses — or the reverse as regrowth returns. Your colour formula and measurements stay on file at HEADS, so the transition is seamless.

The easiest way to know what suits you: a free colour-match consultation at our Greenbelt studio in Makati — try toppers on, see yourself in daylight, no obligation.
